Our Exterior Painting Process.
A proven seven-step approach built on clarity, communication, and lasting quality.
After more than 25 years in the painting industry, we’ve refined a seven-step exterior painting process designed to deliver consistent results and a smooth, stress-free experience. This approach was built around what homeowners care about most: clear expectations, open communication, and work that lasts.
-
We begin with a thorough consultation to understand your goals, preferences, and any concerns about your home’s exterior. Our team evaluates surface conditions, discusses paint and finish options, and provides a clear, detailed estimate—no surprises and no hidden fees.
-
Choosing the right color can completely transform your home. We offer expert color guidance and samples to help you visualize the final result. At the same time, we plan the project timeline around weather conditions and your schedule.
-
Before surface preparation begins, we carefully inspect siding and substrates for damage, rot, or problem areas. Any necessary repairs or replacements are addressed to ensure a solid foundation before painting begins.
-
Preparation is the most critical part of a long-lasting paint job. Our process ensures proper adhesion and durability, including:
Power washing to remove dirt, mildew, and loose paint.
Thorough scraping, sanding, and caulking as needed.
Priming bare surfaces for a uniform finish.
-
Using premium exterior coatings, we apply a professional-grade finish designed to withstand Minnesota’s weather. Our painters use the appropriate techniques—spraying, rolling, or brushing—to achieve smooth, even coverage.
This step includes:
Protective coverings for windows, landscaping, and fixtures
Multiple coats as needed for consistent color and durability
-
Once the paint has cured, we complete a detailed quality inspection. All coverings are removed, the work area is cleaned, and we walk through the project with you to ensure every detail meets our standards.
-
Your freshly painted exterior is ready to impress. Our work is designed to protect your home for years to come, and we provide maintenance guidance along with an industry-leading three-year written warranty for peace of mind.
